Registered SC09 LAD, this is a particularly appealing low-mileage example of Ducati's celebrated middleweight superbike. It has clearly been cherished over the years and is accompanied by its original Ducati service/warranty book with a strong stamped service history.

Importantly, the bike will be supplied freshly serviced, including replacement cam/timing belts, giving the next owner additional peace of mind.

The bike is fitted with a Ducati Sport Exhaust, retaining the fantastic twin under seat arrangement that is such an important part of the 848's appearance.

Condition

As the photographs show, this is a very smart and well-presented Ducati 848.

The red bodywork remains bright and glossy, the trellis frame presents very well and the black wheels with red detailing complement the bodywork beautifully.

The photographs also show how clean the bike is around the engine, frame, swingarm and braking components.

Naturally, this is a used motorcycle rather than a brand-new machine, so some minor age-related marks should be expected on close inspection. We have tried to photograph the bike clearly and prospective purchasers are very welcome to view it in person.

History & Original Documentation

The bike retains its Ducati warranty/service booklet, which identifies it as an 848 and records its original supplying dealer as Ducati Glasgow.

The service book is particularly worthwhile because it documents the bike from its early life through a succession of services despite the relatively low mileage.

The service history includes Ducati dealer and specialist stamps, with Moto Forza Italia appearing several times in the book.

The Ducati 848

The 848 has become an increasingly appealing Ducati from this era.

It combines the styling and engineering of Ducati's larger superbikes with the characterful 849cc L-twin, red trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, powerful Brembo brakes and unmistakable twin underseat exhausts.

It comes from an era when Ducati superbikes still offered a wonderfully mechanical and involving riding experience, and the styling has aged exceptionally well.
